I'm writing at Geography Is Everything now!
This Substack newsletters is no longer being updated...
I noticed over the weekend that quite a few people found one of my articles and, with that attention, came quite a lot of new subscribers! Unfortunately, I no longer update this Substack. Which makes this a bit of an awkward newsletter. That said, I do have another Substack newsletter than I update every single week and I would love to have you join me over there. You can find it right here:
Why a different newsletter?
This newsletter was originally created to showcase my interest in cartography and data. I love making maps of interesting datasets and making them beautiful, such as the popular American Nations maps. However, as I grew my YouTube channel and podcast over the last couple years, I wanted to incorporate written articles into my content stream. And I wanted those articles to not be confined to explaining a single map. As such: Geography is Everything was born as a separate entity.
Instead of rebranding this newsletter, I wanted a fresh start with a fresh community who knew what it would be about. This is also why I never merged the subscribers here with the subscribers there. I honestly figured this Substack would sit quiet for the rest of its existence, but that’s not what happened!
So, here’s my ask: if you like what I’ve written here, please join me over at my other Substack: Geography is Everything. I still talk about maps occasionally, but it’s mostly talking about geography and geographical issues more broadly. If that interests you, I’d love to have you, but otherwise this will likely be the last email you’ll get from The Map Stack.
